Across the 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 editions of the AI CUP, we have proudly collaborated with over 180 talented students, engaging them in more than 37 innovative projects. These initiatives reflect a powerful synergy between academia and industry, fostering cutting-edge technological advancements.

The projects have been developed in partnership with 13 dedicated sites spanning across five countries: Mexico, the United States, Costa Rica, Brazil, and Italy. This multinational collaboration not only strengthens our global network but also underscores our commitment to nurturing future leaders in AI and technology by providing real-world applications and challenges in diverse environments.

Workshops

Workshops were introduced in the 2022 edition of the AI CUP in Latin America as a strategic tool to equip students with essential foundational skills. Designed to provide hands-on learning experiences, these workshops empower participants by building core competencies critical for thriving in advanced AI and technology fields.

Through guided instruction and interactive sessions, students gain practical knowledge and develop fundamental skills that pave the way for more complex project work and innovation, reinforcing LATAM’s role as a hub for cultivating future talent in the AI sector.

The participating students in the competition come from diverse academic backgrounds, including Mechatronics Engineering, Software Engineering, and Computer Science, among others. To encourage broad participation, we have launched calls for entry across various universities, inviting students to bring their unique expertise and perspectives to this transformative experience.

To date, over 180 students from 12 distinguished universities across Latin America have taken part in the competition, contributing to a vibrant, multidisciplinary environment that fosters collaborative learning and innovative problem-solving. This diversity not only enriches the competition but also strengthens the community of future leaders in AI and technology across the region.
