About VAI Group 

 

Since its first project in June 2020, VAI (Vision and Artificial Intelligence) has become TE Connectivity's AI innovation powerhouse, specializing in machine learning and machine vision. As a collaboration between the University of Sonora, TE’s Automation Manufacturing Technology Team, and a talented group of student interns, VAI accelerates technology and innovation while developing AI and machine vision talent for industrial manufacturing environments. 

 

With over 40 projects completed in partnership with plants in Mexico, USA, Costa Rica, Brazil and Italy as well as universities, VAI continues to drive impactful results. Additionally, VAI has supported four editions of the TE AI CUP in Latin America, engaging over 180 students and 10 universities, further solidifying its leadership in fostering AI innovation and education.
